"yesterday - somedays all you need - all you could want is sun, a patch of grass and an iced drink in your hand, or a cold mint hazelnut latte, sunglasses & the resquad with tightropers in the distance. redbones - catfish, seniors, tumminio, weddings, the military, aviation school, not "i told you so's", walking back from davis on a cool spring/summer evening, megan's pink bathroom, chocolate bunnies filled with caramel, barbarabai walking me back, stratton, "you're like a butterfly!", glendon charis wai & weilin, "you must be like children of god...""

i wrote this in my journal after a particularly good day towards the end of semester at tufts and re-reading it now reminds me of how good life can be when the snow finally melts away the clouds go into hiding for a day, how good life could be. i didn't write down (though i definitely remember) that after leaving stratton that night i dropped my wallet somewhere in the bushes, rode the joey up and down til midnight while multi-tasking with new testament readings to look for it and had it returned a week later with no money but everything else intact. remembering what it felt to happy and light and content with life because i haven't been for a while.
