That show is one one of those "woman's channels" out here. I always got sort of annoyed at the previews for it that would air on the radio. They'd say "for the WOMEN DOCTORS of..." or "tonight the WOMEN DOCTORS face their greatest challenge..." just going out of their way to ensure that we all know that there are only women involved. The show is probably better than those annoying promos were!

Yeah, they just wanted to appeal to the female audience and let them know that it won't be just like "every other doctor show on TV" that features mostly men. Evidently they think the viewership is only interested in females, which seems like folly to me.

Yeah ... It IS womens television tho. They see mainstream TV as going too far one way, so theyr'e gonna go too far the other.

Women's television, owned and run by men. I love it!

That whole thing just seems ridiculous to me. It seems that the more time goes by, the more we polarize ourselves. I guess my idealistic "one world" views are a thing of the past. Which is too bad, really.

It really is. I mean, where did we go wrong? Back when my mom was a part of the Women's Movement in the very early 1970's, the drive was to equalize everything, to make it so men and women were a part of one group. And then somehow it morphed into something where now we all need our little groups. Jews here, men here, women here, blacks here, whites here, hispanics here, Asians in the corner. I'm probably sounding all flaky right now, but that sort of thing just makes me sad. I guess I'd just sort of hoped that by the 21st Century we'd be stepping forward, ya know? Not backward.
