the happenstances:
we had quiz bowl states this weekend! won one game, got pwned by a psycho kid from hillsdale (yesterday), and then got beat by fulton (today). a lot of fun hangoutery was had in lansing! yesterday we went into a used book store and i moved a bible into the 'christian fiction' section, i lol'd. nobody else did. :( today we went to noodles & co and then alma bought us all ice cream! i had coffee gelato and got attacked by lotion in the car home :3
tonight is prom! i'm not going... i don't really want to. i don't know if i'll go next year either guys, i don't really want to!! we'll see. i doubt anyone will ask me but if they do i might go with them? who knows!
today is rainy/stormy. i love summer rainstorms! i like to open my shades so i can see outside and put on mellow music (today is wilco) and watch the rain :D rain makes me amorous, for lack of a better word. today i feel like i'm in love with everything and everyone and completely at peace
i remember one time up in port hope we had this mad storm, and it was raining and thundering and z0mg etc... i took a change of clothes + a towel and left them right inside the garage door, and then i went outside and walked around in the rain for like half an hour laughing and screaming and smiling and it was possibly the most intense moment of my life. i was 100% happy and content, and i felt so overwhelmed and small in comparison to the sheer size of the storm. i couldn't hear anything because the rain and thunder was so deafening, and i felt like anything i did didn't matter - i was rendered completely insubstantial and unimportant and i was okay with it! i recommend that experience to anyone!
today is a good day. life is good. :)
