Oh dear

Once more it has been ages since i've posted but i've kinda moved to facebook land now, since i'm really not into fandom anymore and i dont think people really care to read this either....buuuut i shall persist just cos i enjoy getting things off my chest from time to time.

So...

um jeeez, since the end of June a fair bit has happened i guess...

-My one year anniversary with Lyndon was very very awesome. He bought me all 8 seasons of Will and Grace plus all five Harry Potter games (PS2 and Xbox 360), I bouhgt him a 50 dollar engraved ring (that i also have) that we now dont take off, plus condemned two (a gruesome x-box game)

- Saw Dark Knight....was amazing.

- Next big thing was Melbourne! Had a frankly awesome time, but not really enough energy to go through it all! Highlights were- seeing my extended family, getting the guided tour of Melbourne from my cousin, Kareoke in the middle of nowhere, our free hotel room and breakfast in bed, buying new clothes and of course, WICKED WAS AMAZING. aaaah.

- I agreed to actually step in for someone who dropped out of HMS Pinafore so im now actually in a musical this semester... I'm glad cos i keep in touch with my friends but also...i dont really like the show so i may end upo regretting it.

-I still dont have a job that gives me anough hours to live on. This has caused me a huuuge amount of distress over the past couple of days.

- Saw X-Files and Mama Mia. Oh god. Mana Mia was just the worst thing ever. X-Files was...OK.
But christ...Mama Mia... i didn't get over that experience for quite a while.

-My birthday was fabulous! Got some of the best pressies ever and had a fantastic celebration. Melbourne of course was a big part of it, but Lyndon also spoiled me rotten by buying me all the american Harry Potter books (I AM SO IN LOVE WITH THEM) and a whole lot of Fairly Odd Parents DVDS. I also LOVED 'The Grimmerie' my friends gave me, plus a beautiful scarf and some fry and laurie dvds which are hilarious. Ian also gave me like, 20 compilation cd's of songs from musicals....just the best. The dinner and games night felt like a huge sucess to me...i only wish it went for longer. I have another birthday dinner coming up this Sunday because my sister will be back from Europe!

-Being back at uni feels horrible...
I just don't wanna be there at all. My first drama lecture i slept through, and i've already skipped the second one. My first english workshop today went waaaaaaaaaay over my head. It was terrifying. I have enrolled in a 'Craft of Poetry' course...and i dont know what i was thinking, cos the whole course involkves critiquing and editing everyone elses work...and i can't share my work! I certainly dont want to tell others how to do theirs.... oh dear. In the end i tuned out the speakers and started jotting down some ideas. If one thing comes out of this i think it'll be renewed faith in my writing perhaps. I wrote a poem today that i'm going to put up on vacant_lots so check it out if you're interested, its not very long. Free verse though...i hate free verse.

-We had the ATG awards on the weekend which are the Adelaide Theatre Guides Certain Call awartds. Les Miserables was nominated under the categories:
-best male performance
-best female performance
-best technical
-best musical

And Into the Woods was nominated for
-best Technical
-best show

Les Mis won them all except best show, and Into the Woods didn't win anything. It all felt a bit anti-climactic really, but of course, its great just to be moniated, and im happy for Mark and Rachel and Matt who did win.

I best be off...going to go watch "Scoop"

Carla, Nat, Kelly: I think we need to have an Anne of Green Gables night. I know you'll all love it (well i know Carla does) and i haven't seen it forever. It would be oh so good.
