depends i had a mac and it's ok sometimes. It's good because you know how to use it but when it fucks up and stuff then it's just really bad especially when you want to download stuff, your not able to because macs won't allow it or it can't hold that much info.
im kinda anti-mac. for graphics they're better and also easier to use (why most schools start kids out on macs) but i feel like the world runs on PC, so maybe i should too?
i clearly know about both... im not quite sure what point you were trying to make but im not really in need of broadening my skillzzz. i own and can operate PCs as well as Macs. would it have been beneficial to julia to make a comment pertaining to a 'better' computer without being familiar with them? i'd think not.
she can learn easily. a mac isn't hard to learn. it's just a bitch to maintain because of apple's hardware.
by saying "pc" i'm assuming you mean windows platform, considering that's what people believe all pcs run off of. so, no, the world does not run on windows. 1. most high-importance systems run simply off of linux. some even run flat off of ms-dos 2. almost all entertainment industy runs off of mac 3. the reason most schoolkids start out on macs is because mac has contracts with many school districts to cover their technology needs, due to their simplicity, not in usage, but rather in setup.
windows has home and office covered, but any professional areas that require heavy computer usage, it's always been either mac or linux.
would it be beneficial for julia to make a choice on an office or home computer when she needs a professional system? would it be at all even practical for her to own a system that is designed to please a completely different crowd?

I also have "VirtualPC" which is supposed to let you run Windows stuff, but it's been bootlegged and I can't seem to get it to work for me...
