now, i'm hired again. it's weird, but essentially the dems offered me the job, the republicans wanted to consolidate the it department, and they didn't think i had the qualifications they wanted. so, lots of people pulled strings and pushed egos and essentially said, 'yes, she does', so the republicans made me prove it(a ten minute "meeting" aka interview with a tech guy), and then agreed to hire me.

i've got my original salary request, a parking pass, and they're going to pay to certify me(a few grand), which means i'm worth more anyway.

so, there you have it. i have a job, republicans suck, and i hate stress.
