Stunning is how Jinki describes her as her figure passes by for the third time that day. He can't do anything but continue to walk in the sea of bodies, trying his not to look back and just stare at her dissappearing figure again. Ultimately, he fails and turns his head just in time to have a glimpse of her turn to the left corridor.

He feels ridiculous for falling in love with a girl he didn't even know. He knew nothing about her--not her name, her age, what course she was taking--yet that girl--with those beautiful springtime dresses and long, silky, chesnut hair--managed to fill his mind constantly.

Jinki first laid eyes on her in the university library. He needed to study for the upcoming exams and being the old-fashion guy he is, Jinki decided that it would be best if he did his studying there. He planned on studying, not falling in love.

She was tucked away in a secluded corner of the library. In one hand her head was perched up against her left palm, elbows leaning against the wooden table, while the other supported the poetry book between the tips of her fingers. She wore a pink pastel dress that was long enough to cover just the head of her knees. She was goregous, overall, but that wasn't what caught Jinki's attention; it was her eyes: those eyes that diligently followed the page's words, staring intently at each letter as if she needed to decipher a code. She looked mesmorized and entranced as if she had floated into her own little world of adventure and prosperity.

Jinki wasn't one to believe in love at first sight but this girl would be an exception.

(Throughout his stay at the library, Jinki peaks over the edges of his anatomy book and tries to steal a glimpse of the girl turning to the next page, thoughts about studying long gone.)

-

Charming is what Jinki thinks of her name. They're both in the hallway when they first meet. Jinki's rushing to get to his Anatomy class, practically running through the hallways, when he suddenly bumps into the girl. They both collide to the ground, their things spilling around them. Quickly, Jinki picks up the fallen books and papers; that's when he discoveres her name at the front cover of a composition notebook. Before he knows it, she's gone and trying to get to her class.
"Park Sunyoung," Jinki whispers and his lips tingle with excitement.

-

"She's just so… perfect!" Jinki's laying down on his bed as he throws a small hackey sack up into the air. Ever since he had bumped into Sunyoung a month ago, Jinki couldn't stop thinking about her. In his eyes, Sunyoung was the epitome of perfection in every way.

"Yeah, yeah. I get it. Dude, you're pretty much stalker-status." Jinki's attention is diverted for a brief second before it's back on the hackey sack that is now laying on the middle of his forehead. He sits up, grunting and pouting as he soothes the area where the small toy hit him. His roommate and best friend of five years is sitting in the rolly-chair with a childish smirk on his lips.

"Y-Yah Jonghyun!" is all Jinki can say because it was true that he was sort of like a status. Jinki was crazy for Sunyoung and wanted to know everything about her. After weeks of research and bribing to do several essays for different people, Jinki knew some information on Sunyoung:
  • Sunyoung's nickname is Luna
  • She has a twin sister
  • She majors in music
  • She smells of lilacs and peaches

(That last part wasn't really included in the research. Jinki may or may have not passed by Sunyoung and sniffed her hair. Maybe.)

“Well it’s true isn’t it? I’m just sick of you getting your panties in a bunch over some chick you haven’t even talked to once,” Jonghyun says as he spins around and opens up the laptop.
“She’s not just some chick Jonghyun, she’s…”

“Perfect, I know. Look, I just want you to be happy but I know that’s not going to happen until you get to at least spend time with her. Why don’t we throw a party at your house next weekend and invite her?”
Jinki isn’t too sure about Jonghyun’s idea. He knows how mischevious and immature the younger man can be but just the thought of being able to talk to Sunyoung makes Jinki’s heart flutter and before he knows it, Jonghyun’s already sending out text messsages and making calls for the upcoming Saturday night.

-

“Jinki-hyung,” Jonghyun slurred and Jinki’s body stiffened. He turned his head and the second he saw the glass bottle aiming at his direction, Jinki felt his face drain of blood. Groaning just beneath his breath Jinki turned his body, praying that all of this would end quickly.

“Truth or dare?” Jonghyun asked as he leaned back against the couch, a coy smile framing his face. Jinki knew it was a bad idea to have let Jonghyun talk him into throwing a party. He should have just been a man and talked to Sunyoung. Maybe if he had done that he wouldn’t be stuck in his current situation. Gnawing at his lip, Jinki decides that choosing truth may avoid major embarrassment.

“Truth,” he says but the second Jonghyun’s lips turn into a smirk Jinki knows that he’s chosen the wrong answer. He holds in his breath as he mentally prepares himself for the humiliating question that his best friend is about to ask him.

“Have you ever jacked off to the mental image of Luna?”

Jinki thinks that he could murder Jonghyun right this very moment and have no regrets at all but the fact that there are too many witnesses makes him think twice. Jinki blames himself for letting Jonghyun bring alcohol to the party. He can hear the giggles of his classmates and friends in the background and makes his face heat up. With a deep breath and a hanging head, Jinki answers.

“…Yes.”

A chorus of ‘ooh’s and ‘damn’ can be heard across the room and Jinki feels like he could die at any moment. He facepalms himself in an attempt to hide his reddening face but when he lifts his head up, he’s greeted with a surprise. Sunyoung is towering over his hunched body, plump lips with a smirk and misty eyes. With a single finger, Sunyoung motions Jinki to follow her.

He’s confused to as why Sunyoung would even spare him a glance after what had just happened but he’s not complaining. Jinki follows her to the farthest part of his house: his bedroom. He can feel his heart pounding like a bass drum inside his chest cavity and Jinki’s afraid that Sunyoung can feel how loud it is. Sunyoung’s form dissappears behind the bedroom door and Jinki thinks he’s going to have a mental breakdown.

Carefully, Jinki walks into his room. Before he can spot Sunyoung, the lights are turned. A door click is what tells Jinki where Sunyoung is standing. Jinki jumps when he turns around because Sunyoung is a foot away from his body. They both stand there and stare at each other. No words are exchanged between them. The only sound is coming from the loud music hammering in the living room.

In a flash, lips are against lips as personal spaces are invaded. Jinki instinctively places his arms around Sunyoung’s waist and presses their bodies as close as possible. Sunyoung pulls at Jinki’s hair, nails digging into his scalp. The dull pain that surges through his body only adds onto the burning flame inside him as he swiftly lifts Sunyoung up and places her on the bed.

“Oppa,” Sunyoung pants between breaths as they continue with their feverish kisses. Jinki doesn’t hear any of it though because he’s too preoccupied with the feeling of his tongue inside Sunyoung’s mouth. He’s wanted to feel this since day one and it was driving his senses into over drive. Jinki pushes her back against the bed and hovers over her body before bombarding Sunyoung’s neck with small nips.

“Jinki,” Sunyoung moans as she arches her back. Jinki can feel how close they are and just that simple thought scares Jinki. He stops immediately and sits up straight. Both of them are panting and trying to collect their thoughts.

Beautiful is what Jinki thinks as he stares at Sunyoung. Her hair is sprawled against the bed sheets, the brown standing out against the white. Her lips are parted as her chest rises and falls with each breath. Her dress is scrunched near the bottom and her legs are knocked inwards. Her eyes sparkle with lust and innocence as she stares back at Jinki.  With the moonlight seeping through the curtains, he finally understands why she’s called Luna: it’s because she radiates a bewitching beauty that can only be revealed by the stars. With a warm smile and gentle eyes, Jinki sticks out his hand, “My name is Lee Jinki."

Maybe it wasn't such a bad thing he chose truth.
