"Tao, I said no," Kris boomed. At the tone of the irritated leader, Tao backed-off with a small pout on his lips as he walked towards Lu Han and Chen. Kris sighed, threading his fingers through his hair as he watched Tao's figure walk away.
It was the groups day off and they had decided to go visit the shopping district. Shop to shop, all Kris could hear was 'Kris can you buy this for me?' or 'Wah! I have to get this! Where's the leader?'. He knew how the young boy was when it came to his accessories but this was taking it too far. He had already bought Tao several, expensive items and he wasn't willing to leave with his wallet empty.
But as Kris stood near the rack of clothes, all he could think about was Tao's disappointed face. He glanced over at the trio and he immediately spotted Tao slumping as he stared at the ground. Kris groaned, feeling guilty for putting the boy's mood down. As the leader, Kris would be determined to see a smile on Tao's face.

"Tao," Kris called out. The members were back at the hotel they were staying in after a long day. Most of the members were exhausted and had already spread out to crash on their beds. Tao, however, was sitting in front of the T.V. as he waited for Xiumin to finish taking a shower. The boy looked up and his eyes twinkled as it immediately landed on the bag Kris was holding in his hand.
"It's not anything you wanted from the store," Kris had began to explain and disappointment filled Tao's mind, "But I felt bad for not getting you what you wanted so I decided to get you something else. It's not much but I was thinking of you when I got it so..." Kris felt a blush coming up and he tried to hide it behind a small grin. "Here."
The bag was hurriedly shoved into Tao's lap as Kris looked away. Tao eyed Kris suspiciously but continued to open the bag. As soon as he spotted the items inside the bag, a grin spread across Tao's face. Grabbing the items in one hand, Tao used the other to pull Kris into a small hug.
"It's so cute. I love it!" Tao beamed as he held a new stuffed panda and puppy in his hands. He squeezed the plush toys in his hands, feeling the soft fur brush against his fingers. Kris smiled, relieved that Tao had liked his gift.
"Picture~ Picture~" Tao chimmed. Before Kris could react, Tao pulled him onto the edge of the bed and placed the panda on Kris' head. Tao called Lay over and asked the older boy to take the picture while he held the puppy on his head. After a few seconds, Kris and Tao smiled and posed.
When Kris pulled away, he wasn't expecting Tao to give him a kiss on the cheek. Maybe I shouldn't spoil Tao too much, Kris thought as he rubbed the spot on his cheek, a small smile on his lips.
