I know what people think. Crazy girl. Dangerous. A weapon. A killer. I know what they think and it scares them. I scare them. Who I am. What I am.

I scare them because I know. Know too much. Their fault, though. They made me. Broke me down, took me apart. Just to see if they could. They ruined me.

Not a girl. Not sane. Not human. Not right.

Not anymore.

But sometimes I can pretend I am. Playing with Kaylee. Reading with Book. Sitting with Simon. Sometimes I can almost forget. Almost be whole again.

Sometimes… it's okay. Almost.

What he loves most about her are her curves. The way she feels against him. The way they fit together, so beautifully.

She's strong and sturdy. Always there when he needs her. Always standing tall and strong. There for him to be weak with.

Not that he's weak. He's not. Severus Snape has never been weak (in his own mind, anyway). He might be a wizard but he's still got needs, after all.

Eyes open. She evaporates. Leaving nothing but a chair. Average and unremarkable. He curses his bloody sleepwalking and returns to bed.

Prison does things to a man. It changes him-how he thinks, what he expects, who he is. It's a hard lesson but he's learned it well.

Now he doesn't question the changes. He can't lest it unravels everything he's built. And he has to be strong now for Harry. And for himself.

It must be luck that he's found someone who understands him. Just figures that someone was right under his nose all along, too.

But he hasn't had a lot of luck in life, so he'll take this someone and their understanding. No questions asked.
