Hee, right?! I was also amused by the fact that both TOS and TNG showcased JAG lawyers who were ex-girlfriends of the respective captains. Figured there must not have been any regs against it. ;)

Enjoyed this! Kirk/Rand always seems like one of those tragic impossible pairings to me, so I'm glad you found a way to give them a happy ending. :-)

I'm so glad you liked it! :D I agree that they are a pairing that's hard to make work, since there's the whole bit where she's sort of his secretary and that's gotta be frowned upon-- if not outright against regulations. But that's part of the fun of it, too. The wrong factor-- and how to fix it.

Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it (and the progression in particular). :D I totes agree she would be kickass as a JAG; she's a GQMF like that!

And I'm working on another Janice story-- one where she and Kirk have a different kind of relationship than in this but, like... going beyond the UST.
