Dr. Aiken
Dr. Aiken died. They must have known, he and his son took his things from his office a couple weeks ago. I don't know if I could have had more respect and adoration for the man. He was brilliant. But more than that, he was one of the kindest, most inspiring and thought provoking teachers. He was the kind of man you want to become, like some amazing grandfather to everybody. You wanted to be a kid and let him teach you everything. I really wanted him to be on my board. I really wanted him to just be around. The weird thing is that he graduated the last of the philosophy majors in the spring. Like he was just waiting for his work to be done. There is going to be a memorial service for him, I don't know if I can go alone.
