the fine dining experience

how i always fall behind on blogging...
so someday, i have to backdate and talk about:
-spring break. week of prayer. crashing emily's sweet 16. getting to know andrew, mervin, and stephanie. lunch with shearin and aaron. hanging out with valerie and pamela.
-forming an octet: alex, jaryn, halstyn, natasha, ben, cody, michael, braden.
-track and field day.
-giving my career story to the sophomores in career ed.
-Wii day with jake and ben.

this weekend, i headed up to PUC again to play for vespers with "lee and me." always a blessing playing with nathan, james, and zach. didn't get much practicing in, and with technical difficulties happening during vespers, it wasn't our strongest set. regardless, i still got some positive feedback from others.

it was a great weekend to catch up with the close friends. it seems that every time i make a PUC trip, it seems to center around a specific person, or small group of people. i've had my weekends for cory, jon garza, jaylene, shearin and stacy, and natalie. this weekend allowed me to spend my time with james and zach, with added bonuses with tim and jaylene.

james, zach, and i went to brix, a restaurant past st helena. ended up being an amazingly positive and chill experience. the type of dining experience that made memories. a multi-course meal accompanied with good conversation, both deep and entertaining. not to mention, the light-heartedness of the situation where the three of us pretty much shared all of our plates with each other, felt nice. we each ended up spending $45 for the meal, but it was worth it. shared three desserts, a discussion about the presence of a God, as well as the typical conversation about our social lives.

spent the first night in james' room, and the second in tim's. allowed for necessary catch-up time on both sides. the nice part about friendship is finding the common ground between people. and with the fine collection of great friends i've been making, it's funny to find similarities between two non-similar people. especially the kind of traits that disappear in group settings. staying up until past 2 in the morning with tim was a great recollection of our "simple pleasures" tour.

complete the weekend with some card games with shearin and james, watching "clayfeet/wirewings," and brunch and conversation with jaylene. a good and successful weekend.
