the five-second countdown...
looking back at the past 4 celebrations welcoming a new year, each experience couldn't possibly be more dissimilar...
new year's 2004... celebrated new year's at the ferrolino's house, playing apples to apples... then guarding the rose parade float with valerie/pamela/ben/cluedo/amy/jason, and playing cranium to pass time...
new year's 2005... trapped at home, with a very pessimistic father who predicted 2005 to be our "worst year ever in family history..." family midnight dinner, with family who didn't want to be sitting at a table together as a family...
new year's 2006... new year's, at sin city itself... las vegas with the familara's and mortel's... the smell of beer and cigarettes everywhere, walking in and out of casinos... fireworks from all the major hotels, watched from the strip itself... then finishing off the day, working for a texas longhorn bash...
new year's 2007... spent at knott's berry farm, at Praise '07, with jon/hazel/edrey/pamela/uncle cito/jason/joseph/aloyce... went to concerts of Christian rock bands such as BarlowGirl, Sanctus Real, Tree63, Aaron Shust, and Stellar Kart... riding silver bullet and supreme scream... then breakfast at ihop... as of now, just watching the rosebowl game in my bed...

while waiting for everyone to show up, i redid the necklace child prediction thing, with a chain necklace and pendant... apparently, both pamela and i are going to have 2 boys, a girl, then a boy... and we both did it three times, twice at indra on sabbath, and once at their house... now, either we're gonna have kids together, or it's a strange coincidence... ::shrugs::
knott's was a lot of fun last night... didn't meet up with valerie, ben, and friends, but it was still fun... first time i've ever been in a concert situation... the five-second countdown on supreme scream, and feeling weightless as we fell 100 stories... measuring our ages, being exhausted after two rides... our constant craving for funnel cakes, and never getting one... burnt crepes at ihop... breaking my unofficial resolution of cutting chicken from my diet... lasted a whole, 2 1/2 hours, haha!
so new year's resolutions...? i think these are doable...
*no soda... and at PUC, i'm extending the resolution to bottled drinks... drink more water... and i won't beat myself up about it if i fail once or twice...
*valerie and pamela mentioned restarting our "one year Bible" passages... never made it official, but i'd like to try...
let's see how 2007 turns out... let's hope it's as great as 2006 was... last year was a great year... here's to another year!
