Character: Asahina Mikuru
Series: The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi
Age: appears to be 16-17
Canon: The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi is a funny, touching, action-packed series which is all about the universe's natural topping order. For the curious, that order is as follows: Suzumiya Haruhi > everyone else > Asahina Mikuru. Yes, Mikuru is the bitch of the SOS Brigade. Her role is to be forced into cosplay outfits, serve tea, get groped and ogled, star in SOS Brigade publicity stunts, and generally do Haruhi's bidding. But despite her tears and embarrassment, Mikuru does enjoy her place in the club and the people in it.
Mikuru is very soft-spoken and easily frightened or startled. She's a kind soul who simply doesn't have it in her to stand up to...well, anyone, and as a result she makes a very good doormat, although she is quick to cry and wail when things go too far. Inbetween her moments of suffering, she's a gentle and sweet girl with a playful side, a lovely smile, and a desire to make everyone happy. Is there more to her than that? I'm afraid that's classified information~.

I've brought all the costumes with me, see? Forgive me! Suzumiya-san must have been waiting for me all this time... I'm not sure why we had to come all the way to America to film the SOS Brigade's next movie, but it was a long way to travel, even by plane. The pilot made me dress up and sit in the cockpit with him and serve him wine and fancy cheeses... the maid outfit reminded me of home, but should a pilot be drinking alcohol? A-and then he kept getting up to go check his directions on Mapquest... I offered to check for him, but he told me you have to be 18 to visit Mapquest, and that all the computer terminals were in the men's bathroom. I-it was scary all alone in there with only cheeses as my co-pilot...
But--I'm here now! Suzumiya-san's assistant directors came to pick me up as soon as I landed. I didn't know she had connections overseas, but that's to be expected of Suzumiya-san, isn't it? Everyone in America is v-very friendly so far, if a little unhealthy-looking. E-eeep! No! It's not time to change into costume yet--it's cold, stop--! T-t-they brought me the scripts to look over, too, and...Suzumiya-san, please! I can't! Men in Back? R-romancing the Bone? Serious Pole? I can't star in any of those!
But... I think this one called Peanut Butter Jelly Time looks cute. C-can we start with this one? I don't mind that the banana costume is a little bulky! To tell you the truth, it's a relief to wear something like this. The dance looks simple, so even though it's a little hard to move, I think I can do it. All I need to do is wear the banana costume and dance, right? And then... "enter gorillas, stage left." That doesn't sound so... o-oh... oh no...
A-assistant Director-san! I can't do this one either! Please don't make me do it, please! Just take the scripts back and find another star a-and--ouch! Owieeeee, stop hitting me with those! I-it hurts... don't beat me with your Serious Pole!... Waaah, you're abusing the scripts...
