so these are the olympic swimming results so far...
MEDAL COUNT...
1 gold 3 silver 1 bronze
yeahhh we kick asss!!!!!!
gold medal...won by Michael Phelps who set a world record in the 400m IM with a time of 4:08.26!!!!!!!!!!
silver medals...one was won by Erik Vendt in the 400m IM, same event as Michael Phelps^^, finishing with a time of 4:11.81!!!!! another was won by Kaitlin Sandeno who lost gold by 12-hundredths of a second, but Sandeno’s time of 4:34.95 smashed the former American record set by Summer Sanders in 1992 by about two and a half seconds!! the last silver medal was won by the team of Kara Lyn Joyce, Natalie Coughlin, Amanda Weir (yes ive met her whoo she swims at swim atlanta w/ me!!!!!) and Jenny Thompson won the silver with a time of 3:36.39!!!! The Americans and Austrailians were neck and neck the first 200, until AMANDA WEIR pulled ahead by about 5 seconds...then Jenny Thompson slowed down...and they got silver...oh well they did awesome!!!
bronze medal...won by Klete Keller in the men’s 400m free with a time of 3:44.11, also an American record!!! He finished behind Ian Thorpe, Austrailia's probably best swimmer.
I can't wait to see what happens tonight in the finals...LETS GO USA!!!!
