I watched To Kill A Mockingbird tonight on TCM.
It's that last scene that always gets you,
when the score picks up and you see Boo Radley for the first time
hiding behind that door.
And it just makes you cry.
And even as I try to explain it, I just can't.
I can just cry.
"Boo was our neighbor.
He gave us two soap dolls,
a broken watch and chain,
a knife...
and our lives.
One time Atticus said...
you never really knew a man until you stood in his shoes and walked around in them.
Just standing on the Radley porch was enough. "
I think back on all those little moments; we've all had them.
Where you stop and look around, and life makes sense.
Growing up makes sense.
