Greetings, doves!
Things are looking up here in the Mile-High City. I just got a promotion with a healthy raise. Brian got transferred to another low-stress department at his job, which is a blessing. We love our new apartment, our boys are healthy and shedding their winter coats. It's been raining a lot here, which means it's going to stay green for a little longer before the brown of summer sets in.
We have some cool things planned for the coming months. In July we are going back to Florida for the Brady family reunion. We'll be there over the course of two weekends, so hopefully we can fit a lot of visiting in there. We're going to Global Dance Fest in Red Rocks after we get back from Florida. Sasha & Digweed will be playing, along with Castle favorite Benny Benassi. For me it's a dated event (with glowsticks and everything!) but I don't care. I haven't been to a 'rave' type of event in forever, nevermind actually going to a club that plays that kind of stuff. It'll be fun to kind of have a flashback night. Plus, if everyone there is nerding out with years-gone-by party favors, why not partake? heehee.
And then in September, we finally get to go to The Great American Beer Festival!!! One of the reasons we moved to Denver was for the microbrew culture here. To be honest, I'm not too impressed by some of the offerings by some of the breweries, but let me tell you, it's really nice to be able to go to practically any restaurant or bar and have more options to guzzle than Bud, Bud Light, Coors, and Blue Moon. Almost everyone has a tap or two from a local brewery, most notably Fat Tire from New Belgium brewery and 90 Shilling from Odell Brewing Company of Ft Collins. Anywho, at the GABF we can have unlimited 1 oz. samples from over 1800 breweries. Plus we can take the lightrail there and not have to worry about driving. Woohoo for public works!
I hope you all are thriving in the Sunshine State and elsewhere, like to see more posts from my buds!
