Metal & hardcore love Lowe's
Brent Hinds from Mastodon came into my work today to get some keys made.
While he was checking out, another dude wearing a Candiria shirt came into my line.
Making small talk, I was like, "You like heavy music? Brent from Mastodon is standing behind you."
Dude is like, "Yeah, I saw him. I actually used to be in a band called The Hope Conspiracy."
Kind of realizing that this dude could be their old drummer Adam, aka the dude who helped capture Saddam Hussein (to those of you who aren't into hardcore, I'm serious), I was like, "Oh yeah? Why are you in Atlanta?"
He was like, "I joined the military, was stationed at Fort Benning, and the girl I married was from here."
So yeah.

I still wished I had thought to ask him about capturing Saddam.
