A couple of days late on this one but wanted to mention this as i think its disgraceful.
Nepalese Gurkhas who fought with the British army but retired before their regimental headquarters moved to the UK from Hong Kong in 1997, do not have strong ties to the country and have no right to settle in it, a Home Office lawyer told a judge in the high court yesterday. Also, unfortunately, it seems I spoke to soon about Babi Badalov yesterday - the Home Office rebooked him on another flight, with bmi, this afternoon. Haven't heard any news whether they caved to pressure or not. I have a bad feeling they didn't.
