Firstly, it's wonderful to see this story back. I've missed it. No one writes Drusilla like you.

Secondly, that was so, so sad, and seemed so true to all the characters. Poor, poor Dru! Spike's right. She had an innocence when she was mad, and now it's gone.

She grew up very fast, didn't she, poor thing?

I suppose I shouldn't feel sorry for her, because I think she is still mostly evil, but I do.

It's hard not to feel sorry for the poor evil dears!

I just chalk it up to manipulative writing and moral ambiguity. :)

Thank you so much for reading and I am sorry about the long hiatus - which I didn't even warn people about since it was unplanned. This was supposed to be the story I didn't have to worry about, because I wrote it all before I started posting, but then I went and decided to change parts... darn me!

Geez Spike! Love's Bitch is right!

And don't trust her yet fool.

Love the talk between Princess and Daddy. Angel really has some explaining to do with her.

Her telling Fred they were silly not to call him Angelus was perfect.

So happy to see this :-)

Well, you know, he's a cutie, but not the most discerning bloke when fluttery eyelashes are involved... ;)

I think the conversation between Angel and Dru is my favorite part of this chapter. Thank you so much! And again, sorry for being a major slacker on the porn front!

Wonderful to have this story back. Poor Spike. He is a fool for love.

We love him that way, though, don't we?

Glad to be back in the saddle, as it were. *hugs* Thank you!

Yay! Great to see this story back. I feel so sorry for both of them. Especially Drusilla. She's so lethargic but you can tell she's in pain. Poor thing.

. . . her name hung for a moment, as though he couldn’t follow it with another word after it fell off his tongue.

So beautiful. I feel better about Dru's condition now, oddly. Perhaps I'm a cock-eyed optimist, but it feels like Fred is getting close to a workable solution. And Dru has made a real choice, to be "good". Not to say she won't backslide, though.

Hurray for cock-eyed optimism! I think the important thing to take away is that Dru made a choice. (at least, that's my hope that people take away from this.)

Glad you're enjoying. I'll try not to make you wait as long for the next update!
