Happy Independence day, all! (Or, for my British readers, happy "Good Riddance to Ungrateful Colonies Day")

This is for cafedemonde who requested:

pre-canon William/Dru/Angelus/Darla just weeks after his turning, and they all have to visit the Master to present the newest in the line. nothing too bad can happen to William, but the Master wants his due.

You made my day... this is a fantastic take on Will being presented to the Master- darkly funny and with a great deflowering of Will by Angelus! Great dialogue and I love the period descriptions, as well as Darla's unfeigned love for 'Daddy' and their game of chess. Nice metaphor for the vampires' familial interactions, that... ;>

And I bloody loved William behaving impeccably in front of company, when he's been such a brat for Angelus. Of course he would, wouldn't he!

Heee! This was great! I love Angelus' reaction to finding out that he could take William if he wanted, and William being such a cheeky little bugger, behaving for the master and not Angelus.

Oh, and William all nervous and Angelus all growly, and Darla orchestrating the whole thing! And hot, too ;) Oh, it was all so great!

I liked how you described how Darla managed to look all clean despite the journey. That really suits her.
