Masuda Takahisa no Master Hits
2008.12.12
1. Opening: Today is Dozen Rose Day.
- Massu explains that dozen=12 and giving 12 roses on this day represents love. He heard that this is a holiday that only Japan has, but he hadn't heard of it before either (lol). Massu says that it's a nice holiday ne~ He has thought about giving roses, but he thinks it might turn out awkward. Then he says that shy people can gift Happy Bath Day products instead.
2. Question: How many volumes of manga does Massu have at home? The listener says that he/she has 200 volumes.
- Massu asked staff-san if 200 is a lot. He says that he has the entire collection of "花さか天使テンテンくん (Hanasaka Tenshi Tenten-Kun)". He says that not a lot of people know it, but it's popular at home (or where he lives). He also has Dragon Ball & Case Closed (Detective Conan) but not the entire collection. Instead, what he owns more are CDs and DVDs.
3. This week's NEWS: The filming for RESCUE drama has started!
- He trains muscles on site. At the filming location there's a fixed metal bar. One day, every time Massu has a break, he'd go over there and do 10 pull-ups. In the end, he did it 50 times and his muscles became really hard/stiff. After that, they had to film him climbing up the firefighter truck and as he pulled himself up the truck his hand slipped and he felt muscle strain. He did get on the truck safely in the end, but he realized that he shouldn't do too much training. That was a bit too much. Massu also mentions that there are a lot of bath and cloth-changing scenes.
4. Question: Does Massu chat with his hair stylists when he goes to get a haircut?
- Massu says that it's always the same person who cuts his hair; they're already like friends, so they'd chat. When he had to change hairstyle for his new drama, he went to him too. Massu says that after he got the haircut he realized that there were more hair on the floor than on his head!! He immediately thought it was bad (lol). Even the stylist commented that it's the first time he had to cut this much hair for Massu. So, Massu really hopes that people will watch his new drama!
Music: Happy Birthday
5. Question: The listener asks Massu if he would become kinder or cooler after getting a girlfriend.
- Massu says that he's going to be kinder, but he might pretend to be cool (lol). He thinks and says that he wouldn't want any misunderstanding/confusion, so he'll probably just be kind. In the end he comments, "Am I not basically kind to everyone?" (XDD)
6. Question: The listener says that when it gets cold, it's hard to get out of bed. Does Massu have any good suggestion?
- Massu says that the listener can go to Okinawa.** He smiles and says that compared to Tokyo it's not really cold there. Massu says that recently he sleeps with only a t-shirt on, but sometimes he'd get cold in the middle of the night. Massu suggests the listener to add another blanket (lol).
** hello-q: I can't be sure whether he meant that the listener is from Okinawa or he recommended her to go to Okinawa.
7. Question: The listener says that on her seijinshiki she would see her ex-boyfriend.. and wants to ask Massu what she should do in a guy's point of view.
- Massu says that if she doesn't greet him, the guy would think that she's pretending that she hasn't seen him. Massu thinks the guy might feel a bit down, but he suggests not to overdo it. If Massu were the guy, he would want the girl to greet him first and then he will try hard to continue talking. Massu thinks that if it were him he might be able to do it. Then he says he can't know for sure (lol). He says ganbatte to the listener.
8. Question: Has Massu seen a rainbow?
- Massu thinks rainbows are very beautiful and healing. When NEWS went to Los Angeles for the calendar photoshoot, when they were standing in front of the Hollywood sign they saw rainbow. He says it was very touching.
9. Question: How do we call "Minna ga iru Sekai wo Hitotsu ni Ai wo Motto Give & Take shimashou" in short? (XD)
- He says that "Give & Take" might be good enough? He then goes on thinking... since it's "Minna ga iru Sekai wo Hitotsu ni...," so.. "M.S... One"? (ha?! XD) Then Massu feels that it's too complicated and bothersome, so we'll just use "Give & Take" ne.
- He says that he thought it was really long when he first saw the title too. It was so long that he wondered (or asked) if it could be worn. But he noticed later that when you look at color's tracklist, because the title is so long, it seems to have a lot of impact. He then says how about calling this song "Massu's song in color"? (lol)
Music: Minna ga iru Sekai wo Hitotsu ni Ai wo Motto Give & Take shimashou
10. Master Beat: Fly Again
- Massu says that this was one of the first song demos they got for the album. He liked it the first time he heard it. He says that he could imagine how he's going to sing it at the studio and on a concert while listening to the demo. The lyrics was written very well; it's very touching. It gives the feeling of a great world. He hopes that everyone will listen carefully to this song & reminds listeners that they might sing this on their parties so please remember to listen!
11. Ending: Massu says that it's Hiroshima's party tomorrow!
- Speaking of Hiroshima, Massu is reminded of the Hiroshimayaki he and the members ate last year in the dressing room. It was really delicious. Then he says that maybe if the water is tasty at a place, the food would be delicious there too. ^^
