* I'm in the middle of translating the 10/31 episode, but I really need to sleep now, lol. Hopefully I can have it up tomorrow ne. ^^
* In this episode: Massu talked about NEWS's winter party, fan-made uchiwas ('hisa'?), and how they thought about designing the goods. A kindergarten teacher told Massu that they're using "weeeek" for a game, a listener asked what Massu normally wears to sleep, and another asked what Massu would like to learn to cook. ^^ (... and what's with this "wrapping" idea you have Massu? lol)

The notice...
* Original Chn repo was done by utak0 @ baidu. She has given me permission to translate her Master Hits summaries into English, so English-speaking fans could know a bit more about Massu ^^ Thanks utako!
* With a comment, link back is fine~ please don't repost this, thanks very much~ :)
Masuda Takahisa no Master Hits
2008.10.24
1. Opening: The tour finally starts tomorrow!** Massu is really excited.
** Note: this was the Oct.24 episode.
2. Question: Does Massu like sweet or salty
tamagoyaki?
- Seems like Massu first picked sweet, but made a comment that salty ones are delicious too... so both are fine/good(?). (He might've said that sometimes he picks the flavor depending on his mood.)
3. This week's NEWS: NEWS Winter Party Diamond
- Massu again says that he is excited. Then he starts to read mails regarding the concerts.
4. Question: The listener says that since this tour's theme is NEWS celebrity party, what does Massu think we should wear when we go?
- Massu mentions how this time, concert will have a celebrity image and be referred to as party. He says that he wants all the future concerts to be called as parties, and the tickets to be made as invitation cards; he says that'd look very fashionable. (then he answers the question XD) He says that even though it'll be more formal than usual, fans only need to wear something cute or nice; it doesn't have to be too formal. Massu says that he'll be wearing t-shirts on concerts too (lol).
5. Letter: The listener says that she couldn't get any ticket through balloting, so she just wants to tell Massu "ganbatte" and that she'll cheer for them.
- Massu feels sad for the listener and comforts her. He says that if she can't go this time, there will be another con next year! Or he says she could try and go to the parties at other venues. Finally, Massu feels bad for this listener and decides to give her 40cm of Master Hits ribbon. He says that when she receives it she can use that to wrap around her body. (XD?!)
6. Question: The listener asks Massu what to put on the (fan-made) uchiwas? (like, what'd be something he'd like fans to put on uchiwas?)
- Massu says that uchiwa's area is limited. If fans write "Masu/Massu"** or "Takahisa" he'd feel happy. Sometimes he says he'd see uchiwas with "久(hisa)" on them. He'd wonder if those could be his "貴久(Takahisa)" but they turn out to be "智久(Tomohisa)" (lol). Massu laughs and says that recently he'd find uchiwas with pig snout on them, then he goes about saying how they're probably not his (XD). Massu says that even though they see many uchiwas during performances, but when they look closely at them, the uchiwas are all quite different. He says that they all feel happy every time they see uchiwas designed and made by fans. Finally he says he's looking forward to see what types of uchiwas are going to appear this time.
** hello-q: seems like he said that putting 'Masu/Massu' is basic ne~ XD (well of course.. but it's interesting for it to be said by him, lol) and aww that "久(hisa)" often turns out to be "Tomohisa".
7. Question: The listener mentions how Massu came up with the smiley face logo for Pacific con, then asks what's the design like this time.
- He says that this time they gathered everyone's opinion and they researched to see what types of goods girls like, so they've designed a lot of cute goods with girls' perspective in mind.
Music: Happy Birthday
8. Brain Master: アルバイト (arubaito, i.e. part-time job) is German (*1),
カステラ (Kasutera, i.e. Castella Cake) is Dutch (*2), then カップメン (cupmen, i.e. instant noodle or cup noodle) is what "語" (i.e. language; romaji: 'go')? [please look at the notes for explanations]
- Massu's first guess was "食後" (shokugo, i.e. after eating; 後&語 have the same pronounciation). It was wrong. He says it's definitely something with 後 (which means "after"). Then he thinks he knows the answer! He asks if it's "3~5分後 (after 3~5 minutes)"... and he's correct! (lol) (ans: after 3 min.)
- He says that it's a great question (*3). Then he says that 3 minutes = 180 seconds, so he's giving the listener a 180cm-long ribbon (XD). Massu says that since it's very long, she can wrap cup noodle up as gift, give some to friends, or she can use it all, or... she can use it to wrap herself up. (LOL?! XD)
*1: German, from the word "arbeit".
*2: The info I looked up tells me it's Portuguese, "Pão de Castela" ...*shrugs*
[NOTE: Those Japanese words are what's called
gairaigo (外来語), meaning words of foreign origin. I found different information for Kasutera *shrugs* but I think we can still understand what she's intending to ask, right? ^^]
*3: because it relates to what he advertises for... ^^;
Music: GanGanGanbatte
9. Letter: The listener is a kindergarten teacher. She tells Massu that her school recently starts to practice for field day, and for a game, they are using the song "weeeek"**.
- Massu says that he had done that during field day when he was little. He's happy to know that they're using NEWS's song. He says that he heard "Kibou ~Yell~" was used before too. Massu wonders if the children finds weeeek's dance easy? Then goes on saying that the kids would realize that that's how these older brothers (NEWS) dance to the song. (lol)
** hello-q: utako says that it seems to be a dancing game.
10. Question: What does Massu wear to sleep?
- Massu says that when girls sleep they can still look cute/fashionable and he finds that nice. He says that he usually wears clothes like sweatshirts and jerseys. He starts to wear pants these days (to sleep)*. During the summer he only wears a t-shirt + boxer~ He also mentions how if he wears a hooded shirt to sleep he likes sleep with the hood up.
* Since it's getting colder.
11. Question: The listener says that she's going to start living by herself next spring, and she asks if it were Massu, what would he like to learn to cook. She also asks what Massu can cook now.
- Massu says that he'd probably want to learn to make curry, cream soup, gyoza (dumplings), and hamburgers. But, to the question of what he knows to cook now, he says that he's not sure (lol). He says that it's probably miso soup. It's simple yet has the feeling of home. Finally, Massu makes a note that for him, gyoza would still be his primary dish (lol). He says "ganbatte" to the listener.
Music: Forever
12. Ending: Again, Massu says that the party starts tomorrow! :)
- This time, the tour will be long. Massu wants those who will be going to enjoy~
^^
