What new with me?
It's been a while since I've posted. Sorry. What have I done since October? I went and saw Mike for a week over Thanksgiving in Oceanside, Ca. It was pretty awesome. I loved being able to wear flip flops in November! We didn't really do a whole lot, but it was great just to see him. The ocean was just a short walk from our hotel room. Mike spends about every weekend in Oceanside, so it was neat to have a mental image of some of the sights he talks about... like the pier, the ocean, the mall, the restaurants, etc. etc.
While in California, I got an email that said the Lead Teacher in the 10 to 14 month room was fired. They were asking for anyone who was qualified, and interested in the position, to respond. I responded and I got the position! I love having my own room. All of my babies are just turning one right now and learning how to walk. It's just so exciting to see them be able to let go of furniture and stand on their own and then progress into taking their first steps. They make me so happy at times.
Mike was home for a week over Christmas, which wasn't nearly as exciting as going and seeing him for a week......But it was still very nice.
Since October its been up and down with Mike and whether he's getting out or staying in. He was going to start training again at the end of December, but once he started exercising he didn't think his hand could take it. He made a couple more appointments. The doctor said that he could either deal with the pain and go back to training...or have surgery. So he went to see the surgeon. The surgeon said that he didn't need surgery and that he could start training again. He doesn't completely agree with the doctors, but he will officially start training again on February 23rd. Yeahh.. we'll see where it goes from here.
