Update

So I'm a military wife now. My husband is in the Marine Corps. He left for boot camp a little under a month after we were married. I've never been in a long distance relationship before, so it was(and continues to be) an interesting experience....especially with only letters for communication. He graduated on August 7th from MCRD San Diego. I went to his graduation and then he got to come home for ten days. He left again on August 18th for MCT. (Marine Combat Training...I think. So many acronyms...) About a week after he started that training he broke the pinky on his left hand, so he's in rehab now. He won't be able to continue training until it heals The cast comes off in 3 weeks and then he needs to rehabilitate the hand. He'll probably continue with his training by the end of October. Then he needs to go to North Carolina for his MOS training (for his job in the military..supply and accounting). Hopefully he'll be done with everything by December and then we'll be together again. I'm really not sure where that will be be, but at this point I don't really care.

As for me, I graduated in May with my degree in Early Childhood Education. I took a couple graduate classes this summer to finish up my reading endorsement. Now I'm working full time as an Assistant Teacher at a childcare center in Huxley. It's not my own classroom or anything, but it's a whole lot of fun. I absolutely love the children and it's keeping me extremely busy. Plus, it should give me a couple more great references for the future. I'm currently working in the 12-18 month room, but I might be moved to work with the 3 year old preschool soon.

Also, I have a psychotic dog named Daisy and a crazy cat named Tigger.

Well, that's a really brief update. I always keep up to date with all of you, so it's only fair that I return the favor right?
