I Love Making My Clients Happy :)
I don't do much tuning, so I wasn't sure how much of a difference I was going to make when a client asked for help. She had a process that has been taking longer and longer every month starting about a year ago. It was a really old program and the amount of data has grown a lot since it was written.
I did some testing and made 3 small suggestions. The process went from running 8.5 hours to 7 minutes!!! Woo hoo! Yeah I'm nerding out. I even did a little happy dance around my desk :) I love it when I feel like the work I do actually makes a difference for someone.
