Whew, I'm exhausted!

The party went really well.  I think somewhere between 40 and 50 people came.  D had a great time.  We went to a bar when there were just a few of us left.  I guess that was around 1am.  Lance was so tired he went to bed instead.  The DJ was good and we all danced.  I don't dance enough.  I  really do like to dance

congratulations on averting disaster. how did you deal with the food question? (my advice would have been: order pizza). happy new year (and a belated happy birthday to your sister).

My parents, my sister's boyfriend, and I threw together some snacks (cheeses, crackers, fruit, chips dip, sausages, desserts). I put out some of the candy family had gifted for Christmas (there's no way I was going to finish all of that before it went bad). We just went with disposable plates and glasses (sorry Mother Nature).

She's friends with a restaurant owner, and they offered to send over pizza. That was a BIG help. Since the party started at 7:30, people came hungry.

Most folks brought snacks with them, too. I did have a good time, and I made some new friends.

I really do love the new house. It's a much easier space to entertain in than the one we used to be in. I'm looking forward to hosting something else here! Lance is too.
