Bathrooms

Having a one bathroom house is kinda like being at a music festival.  You need to "go" when you think about it, not when you really need to go.  We've had a 1 bath house for 10 years and there have been times when I thought I was going to DIE.  Lance said he just goes by the tree in the back yard when it's urgent.  Sometimes I envy you boys.

We were out walking the neighborhood a couple of weeks ago and grabbed a flier for a house that was for sale like we often do.  We were surprised to see how much prices have come down the last year and it got us thinking, "Maybe we could afford a house with a pool."  I like pools, but Lance LOVES them.  But public pools creep him out, even the ones at nicer apartments where friends live so he almost never goes swimming.  Every summer for the last 5 years he's done massive research on pools and always comes to the conclusion that you don't really get your money out of it. But if you buy a house with a pool, someone else took that hit.

I said, "Can't hurt to look."  and added a second bath to the wish list. Neither of us really wanted to leave East Dallas so we really didn't expect to find anything.  When we found a foreclosed house walking distance from our house, with 3 bedrooms (we have 2), two (T-W-O ) bathrooms, a 2 car garage and a pool we were shocked.  We made an offer, and the bank that owned it came down way more than we thought they would.  We're looking at an interest rate between 4.0 and 4.125%.  It's hard to believe how this house fell into our laps.

We're planning to rent our current house.  So if you know any reliable people who would like to live walking distance from Knox-Henderson, Katy Trail, and Greenville Ave. let me know!

It's not a done deal.  The inspection is today.  Barring anything major, we may be having a pool party next Summer.  And best of all, I will be able to PEE AT WILL!
