It can still be a good day
So I'm pretty sure I broke my toe. I wasn't going to go to the doc since so many people told me they can't do much for toes. Then over the weekend I had two nurse friends tell me to get it checked. So I called my doctor's office and they said they didn't have an X-Ray machine but I could go to Insight Diagnostic.
I called Insight and they said if I went right away there wasn't a wait. So I limped on out to the car and drove over. After I got there they told me my doctor hadn't sent over a work order. I called the office and it turns out both doctors are out today so nobody could fax over a work order. Ugh. The drive was for nothing.
Did I mention that it kinda sucks pushing the pedals since problem is with my right foot?
So this is where it gets even better...On the way home, the car started sounding and feeling really weird. For a second, I thought that part of the car body had come lose and was shaking off.
As it turns out, I had a blowout, right on Hwy 75. I almost cried I was so frustrated!
Lance came and met the tow truck driver. He got me home and is taking care of the tire. He such a sweetie:)
All in all I feel pretty lucky. I didn't lose control of the car and nobody ran over me when I got out to see what was going on. The nearest exit had a really skinny shoulder. I have to admit that part was pretty scary. Much scarier than the blowout itself.
I am determined to turn this day around. Wish me luck!
