it was a regular sunday morning for brie, waking up to the smell of hairspray and the sound of her phone ringing. brie was obsessed with her motorola phone, as she was obsessed with many other things like her camera, spearmint gum, and frosty pink lipgloss. brie lives in a large, one story house with her mother and a cat named andy. because brie is a spiteful person, she often paints andy's claws and replaces her mother's car keys with her own car keys, swapping mom's bmw 330i with brie's el camino. brie comes from a wealthy family, but chooses not to flaunt it, for she shops at thrift stores and cuts and dye's her own hair. love isn't really her thing, her expectations of people are too high (they have to be educated, they have to play guitar, they have to like picnics that include motts juice and lots of ants).

now, on this regular sunday, brie does her routine thing, which is answer the ringing phone (on the other line is her best friend, miles), paint her toenails, and then goes to sit outside of the local arcade with miles. now, miles is no ordinary boy. his hair is aquamarine, and his sarcasm is sharp as an arrow. he reads t.s. eliot and buys pool catalogues, and cuts out all of the pictures and tapes them to his wall. when he was little, he dreamed of having a pool in his backyard, but could never have one larger than a kitchen table, due to money issues.
