After getting directions from Lilah, I walked through as many fuckin' walls and doors and floors as it took me t'finally get t'Percy's office. Maybe if he got me all riled up enough, I'd be able t'punch him ( Read more... )

"Of course you're not. Heaven forfend. And as it does seem that I'm off my game as far as wild, grossly inaccurate and altogether silly speculation goes, I think I'll just concentrate on lunch."

Tucking my feet further under my chair I reached out to refill my plate, sending Wesley a glance to let him know what I thought of his teasing as I did so.

"There is absolutely nothing wrong with my speculating, and...did you say innacurate?" I smiled a bit between bites, sharing it with Cordy as well. "As crazy as our lives are, I sort of think that by now we should have realized that no matter how crazy our thoughts get to match, somehow even at least a little part of them hits pretty on center...and I am standing by the fact that it was tiny hands."

"Odd? Even for here? Odd how?"

"Oh," I was startled out of another round of focusing on my lunch by Wesley's question. Looking back up I placed down my plate and studied my friends, pointing out to the lobby. "Well, when I got here this morning, other than I visit to drop off some mail..." I looked particuarly at Wesley this time, wondering if he had even gotten the tickets. "Well, other than that I haven't seen anyone today, I mean any of ya'll. I went right up to my office, and...I staye up in my office? I...I think I might have even spent some time under my desk?" I thought about that, trying to be sure but for some reason I couldn't be that specific. "That's strange right? I am right in thinking that's off?"

"So...I think Lorne is going to have a rough couple of days in the near future. There was a vision, we don't have to talk about it now, he doesn't seem to think it's very important."

"And that doesn't sound like Lorne either," I pointed out. "Since when as Lorne ever brushed off anything he has seen? How mny times did he tell us to sit down, sity still, and listen? Or...was that just me?" I got quiet for a minute, studying my hands. "Maybe it's just this place, maybe it isn't. Some something sure doesn't seem right."

"Then I suppose we'll all just have to keep an eye on Lorne, then, and do our best to help him if we can. I'm glad your day off was mostly pleasant, at least."

I settled back, enjoying the sound at Cordy and Wesleys' voices, when a sharp twang suddenly sounded from behind me. I jerked up in my chair, before remembering my labcoat hanging just off the back. I reached around and pulled out my phone, studying the message that was coming across.

"I have to go you guys," I apologized softly, standing. "That autopsy I mentioned before? Lilah ordered it...and it looked like the body is just arriving. Looks like it is time to get back to work. I'll see ya'll soon? Try not an get lost in my office this time?"

I paused in the doorway.

"Of course, any long dissapearances are of course allowed to be followed up on...just be sure to check under the desk."

I scooted out, wishing that had come out a bit funnier than it did.
