Recital is DONE!! Ahhhh so relieved! I was sick as a dog during the last two weeks of January but I somehow made it!
Now must focus on learning another vast load of music for auditions for grad school at the end of this month!!
I've been AWOL from online this entire January...! *sob*
To sum up, I've...
- Traveled to L.A. to have a GREAT lesson with a teacher I want to study with in Philadelphia. I was invited to come study with him at a festival in St. Peterburg, Russia. Currently assessing how much funding I can gather up to make the trip.
- Worked a strangely intense schedule full time waitress work + commuting to do opera gig + cr*ploads of ohsh*T!practicing every night + getting really sick for the last two weeks due to an allergic reaction I had to something. With school starting (classes and orchestra managing and studio managing and added rehearsals for recital), the stress was unbearable. ORZ
- And that was it, really. Or I blocked out a lot of it b/c I've been trundling along dragging my body from place to place with not much recollection on what I've done hurhur.
Sadly, I still have a plateload of things to do.. but I get the DAY OFF TOMORROW ROWOROROWOROW HORRAYYYYYY!!! OMFG so excited!!!!! SLEEP!!!!!!! Or maybe I should get my butt to school to getsh*tdone
Supreme gratitude to all the people who came and supported me during and before my recital T^T kyraensui, mikage, and even asaphira_sachi(finally!!!!) and everyone who couldn't make it but sent all their lovely support! My mom even came up on a 10-hour ride up from Amtrak. Omfgggg. She's currently on her way back now. Hurhur we rushed her to the station with kyraensui's awesome driving to make her train back. THANK YOU ALL!!!!!
