Hellboy - "The First Of Me"

I was in the mood to make a Hellboy video instead of writing something, so here it is. I made a music video to the song "The First Of Me" by Hoobastank. But Youtube screwed me over and disabled it the first time I uploaded it because of the song's copyrights and stuff. So I re-uploaded it without the audio and then made an account on DailyMotion

Nice! I have to admit I wasn't predisposed to like it because I really dislike that one Hoobastank song that's always on the radio, but I have to admit it's a good song choice (Spork Warrior, you done with that playlist yet? Room for another song?), and the images fit well.

Definitely the best part is the crown / horn / hand sequence at around minute 4 -- nicely sequential and syncs with the music, and has, you know, kick to it.

And not too spoilerish. Well, maybe the reason it's not too spoilerish is that it's been several months since I read "Darkness Calls", and I had trouble remembering what I saw in that and what's new (some parts surprised me until I remembered that they were all from Strange Places). So I don't think the spoiler alert is vital, but it's nice to say it anyway.

Oh, well, to be honest, a friend of mine introduced me to the song a month ago. I don't really listen to the radio so I'd never heard it before. And after a few listens it clicked, and the idea of making a video to it was something that just wouldn't leave my brain.

I'm glad you liked it! Those were some of my favorite parts. And regarding spoilers, it's better to be safe than sorry. xD

I think I was unclear -- sorry. This song you've used for the video, I'd never heard it before. It's a different Hoobastank song that got played on the radio all the time, I think called "The Reason". The refrain goes, "and the reason is youuuuuuu" -- very cheesy, and since it was the only Hoobastank song I had ever heard, it had (unjustly or not) tainted my perception of the band. But this song that you used for the video, I like it just fine.

Oh, I should have realized that! It's perfectly clear now that I reread your comment. *face-palm* I must have been too zoned out to get it the first time, I guess. xD;; Yeah, The Reason that was the only Hoobastank song I'd ever heard up till recently myself. It gets on my nerves a lot.

It really captures the character well. I like both the movie and the original comics, but there's not enough based on the original comics and this really fills the bill. I love the images you selected and they went well with the song you chose. I haven't gotten further than "Darkness Calls", but the spoilers for "Wild Hunt" are rather non-specific, so there's really not too much in the way of spoilers here. I'm glad I watched it.

P.S. I've been avoiding watching this when you first posted it as my dial-up connection didn't do videos well. Now that I have a high-speed internet connection, I came here to watch you video and am glad it did.
