Walkthrough
although i did this to the whole image then cropped down what i liked i will be using this base
during my walkthrough.
1. duplicate base and set to screen, 100% opacity 48% fill.
2. duplicate screened layer and do the following adjustments.
image > adjustments > auto contrast
image > adjustments > auto levels
image > adjustments > auto color
Set the layer to 100% opacity 66% fill.
4. add a hue and saturation layer
Layer > new adjustment layer > Hue/Saturation
Master Saturation - +25
5. Add a solid color layer #333F56
layer > new fill layer > solid color
Set to Exclusion, 38% opacity 100% fill
6. Add a selective Color layer
(this layer could be from a tutorial i saw somewhere)
Method: relative
Reds: -100, 0, +100, +44
Yellows: +100, 0, -47, +20
Cyans: +100, -100, +100, -100
Blues: +100, +100, -100, -100
Neutrals: +35, +4, -14, -7
Blacks: 0, 0, 0, +100
7. add a brightness and contrast layer
Layer > new adjustment layer > Brightness/Contrast
Contrast: +7
8. Duplicate the base layer and drag to top.
set to softlight, 66% opacity 48% fill
9. sharpen the softlight layer: filters > sharpen > sharpen
then fade the sharpen edit > fade sharpen to between 50% and 70%
10. repeat step 9 on both the screen layers.
