1. unrequited love and crushes sometimes turn into something more however sometimes they dont get the girl (or guy).
2. death scenes are never boring. they are visually different everytime and they always add something to their specific storyline weather we would rather they stayed alive or not.
3. older characters aren't religated to the sidelines.
4. actors are often re-employed so we can watch them again and again
