[two hours without power and it's about to get worse. any candles that may have been lit are blown out by an inexplicable breath of wind and refuse to light again. matches and lighters go out. cellphones shut down suddenly. the only lights that are let are the light of the stars and the moon through the windows.
and those shadows suddenly seem so very deep and dark.
in some hallways, you may even hear the echoing jangle of chain links of metal...]
