Well, they say there was once an old woman who lived on her own in the woods near Belkend. A kind gentle woman who just so happened to be in possession of a vast wealth left to her by her late husband. Despite her wealth she lived simply and often was known to give away some of her fortune to those who needed it more than her. Needless to say, there were many who envied her for the money she possessed and more than a few who sought to make it their own through some dark means
