V-day 2006
Valentine's day post.
It seems that I have been long dormant in my LJ postings, good thing you
folks don't pay me anything because you would have fired my ass long ago.
Nothing much new going on right now except for the fact that I've missed 2
days of work this week due to sickness :( Im not really sure what is going
on but I feel that I am slowly recovering. By the way I am using a cool
command line python LJ editor :) So now I can make my bi annual LJ post
from the comfort of my SDF FreeBSD terminal shell :)
Work has been very busy lately with a complete overload of projects I need
to work on waiting for my attention and a lot of documentation I need to
write that I dread. Somehow I'll pull it all together :)
On the personal life subject, things have been going very well. Heather
and I have been together for 11 months now and celebrated our first V-Day
on Tuesday. It was a really nice evening starting out with my gift
to Heather (a blue topaz necklace) and we then went to dinner at Jim
Gould's at 5:15. Heather had stuffed salmon and I had grilled duck, it was
very delicious. We then went back to my place where my present was
actually 11 presents (for the 11 months we have been together) really very
sweet. I received a bunch of presents, most importantly a box Heather
stained on the outside and painted blue on the inside. It has pictures of
us individually on the sides and together on the other three sides. It
also has documents from things we have done together, a sort of memory box
which is a really touching idea. The other big gift was my very own betta
fish (which I named Neptune) who will eventually live in my office when I
figure out exactly how to take care of a fish. We then went to meet my
sister and her boyfriend at the Bread Company on Goodwin for some
Chocolate Fondu and French cider :9 mmmmmm. After all the Chocolate we
went home. All in all it was a great V-day and I look forward to the next
one. That's about all I have time for tonight!
