as you may or may not know a friend of mine died in a car accident on november 6th, 2004. his name is kevin john kendall and he was only 23. i'm fairly certain that most of you have never met him. the only way i can describe him to you is very similar in character to our dear friend luke bassuener. he was very strong on community, bicycles as a mode of transportation, turning off your tv, sharing meals, drinking fair trade coffee and loving god. if you could live a full life in only 23 years, kevin definitely did just that. obituary from the post-crescent...
Kevin J. Kendall, Appleton, age 23, died early Saturday morning, November 6, 2004, as a result of an automobile accident in northern Langlade County. He was born March 13, 1981 in Appleton, WI. He volunteered at the Outagamie Public Defenders Office as an intern helping with the process involved with jail inmate intake; he coordinated after school programs for the Appleton Board of Education at Horizon and Columbus grade schools; he also volunteered at the Salvation Army. No one could know Kevin without being touched by his compassionate heart, his deep thought, his expression of God's love and tenderness and his conviction of purpose. Kevin's deep thought on relevant issues was often expressed through his articles to the Post Crescent Editorial Board and to the Reader Reaction Forum.
