Maisie update...

It's been a while since I've done one of these and I am going to do one for Noah as well. But first...

Miss Maisie
Mais is almost 2 years and 8 months. She's changing SO MUCH recently, I can hardly keep up with it all. We're still working on toilet training - she's REALLY STUBBORN. Any hints and tips on that front mama's, I'm all ears!

She has learnt 'NO!' and is using it to good effect. Her answer to just about every request is 'NO!'. Good times. She can tell me pretty much what she wants. For example:

Me: Do you want to watch 'Cats & Dogs'?
Mais: No cats and dogs!
Me: Penkins? (Happy Feet)
Mais: PENKINS!

Just before as I was standing in the kitchen, she came over and got a wet wipe and cleaned her hands. That spun me out!

Her language is something else right now. A few recent phrases include:

- Mama! Check it out!
- Mama! Sit down!
- Nonnys! Go sleep!
- Ready! Set! Go!
- Party party party!

She's becoming a feisty little individual. She's loving as the day is long - when it suits her. She will administer lovely kisses to everyone when in the mood. And hugs. And random 'I wuzz you's' She'll sit with me quietly and just cuddle. She makes her brother laugh when he is sad. She loves him a lot more these days. They are usually to be found together causing some form of mischief. She's become more girly - she is wearing a pink cheongsam today because it's 'pretty mama!' She's incredibly musical and loves to dance. She also loves to draw.

Since her Aunty Flick & Uncle Lou got the pool in, swimming has been HIGH on the agenda. We have a little clamshell pool here too, but the BIG POOL is the main attraction. She got over her fear the other day and actually got IN the pool with Shell & Gene. She had an awesome time. Her teeth were chattering, but there was no way she was going to get out! No siree!

My girl is a magical little creature who grows more and more beautiful every day. She is certainly very challenging at the moment. Anyone who has lived with a 2 year old will attest to the fact that they are HARD.WORK. But just watching her learn and grow is enough to offset the endless aggravation of 'NO!'

I'm honoured to be her mama. I'm very proud of the little she demon ♥

Nonny update to come. When he's in bed and not trying to push the laptop off my knees. ARGH!

update, milestones, maisie
