Bees?
This is a project was about bees. Bees have been alarmingly been disappearing and no one really knows why. It's a growing concern especially since our farmers rely on the bee pollinating their crops.
I drew an illustration depicts two wilting sunflowers who are mourning the lost of one dead bee. After which I made a Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator rendition of. I then made a t-shirt prototype with the sunflower illustration screen printed on it. I designed the t-shirt to look like it is wilting as well.
I plan to make a final rendition of the t-shirt where I will actually screen print with a silk screen. However, silk screening is a new trade set that I am just learning, so we'll see when I get enough practice. Slippery Jersey is hard to silk screen.
The model is my friend Jill. She seems to fit all my clothes and she really likes to model for things. You will see her model for me almost all of the time.
