A glam-rock superstar (who is also a failed academic) finds an Ancient Evil Egg in his hotel shower. The irritating alcoholic troubadour who sleeps with all of the glam-rock superstar's friends decides to help him deal with it. What ensues is the first part of a vast space opera where space whales hump spaceships, there are pyramids made out of android parts on hoverdollies, and a research station turned tourist hub called Chimera Hangdog houses plenty of weird characters. Like some guy made out of sponges. The sponges guy is weird.
