Happy New Years, LJ friends
Happy New Years, everybody! I hope you are all well. Amazing to think we're finally in a new decade, eh?
I don't do resolutions - hardly seems fair to the other 364 days that this one is the one when you finally put your life into perspective ;) - but I hope everyone is well and had a wonderful time tonight. As for me, I gathered with several of my nearest and dearest friends for another wonderful episode of our lives, adventurous and partying like the world will end tomorrow. I love them all very much. <3
And you few! I only have a couple RL friends following my LJ - the rest are from the Buffy fandom. And I owe a great deal to that, because that fandom has made me realize that I really should be fucking writing for a living. And maybe someday I will be. Right now, I enjoy my life, and I enjoy writing fics for the fandom that reminded me why I ever bothered writing fanfiction in the first place, all those years ago.
I'm being sappy, I know, but it's almost 5 AM here and I tend to stall when I know I need to go to sleep. So - a toast to absent friends and comedians, this is the new year! Cheers, everybody. See you when I wake up.
