Well, that solves that dilemma.

So, the tickets for the next leg of the Police tour go onsale today at 10AM for legacy members. I am one, having opted to renew my membership last week to hedge towards actually going again. However, given that the tickets are onsale TODAY and ALL of them are going SIMULTANEOUSLY, I can't afford that at this point in the pay cycle.

Why the fuck all at once?

Fuck.

Sadly, in one week I will be getting the biggest work bonus I've gotten in my current job (still not up to the projected average 15% built into my contract, but that's a bitch for a different time) and I was thinking of splurging on some tickets and a trip to Chicago to see the Fabulous Nibleys, or to Milwaukee to see the loverly raven_arani, or to LA for another stay with scubagrrl, or getting kaldeth, romeoa, and others together to roadtrip together to somewhere altogether different, or...

That's that, I guess. I'm still going to get tickets to another show, though. I can't stand the thought of never seeing them again without trying to attend at least one more show. At least I'm not missing out on using my Police Fan Club membership prices for tickets because there is none, but I really think the concert management really hosed us on this and could probably have made more money in long run if they hadn't been so lazy about their deployment.

Heavy sigh.

EDIT UPDATE: So it looks like not ALL of the dates went on sale today, but Chicago and Milwaukee for sure. Still heavy sigh.

And my apologies to anyone that this sounds pretentious and ungrateful to. I feel incredibly lucky to have seen them at all after worshiping them my whole life, let alone twice already. Not to mention that there are fans out there who won't get to a show at all, but it's frustrating that the tour management seems to be out to screw us. I realize it's a business and all, but this really seems to be unnecessary.

rant, the police tour
