Weekend Update, a bit late.
Left Saturday and spent the weekend in Lakeland with mattdocmartin and had a lovely time, as always. :)
Saturday evening, we didn't go anywhere, and that was A-OK with me. I had one hell of a drive getting there. A lovely accident on the Florida Turnpike delayed my arrival in Lakeland by about 2 1/2 hours. So, unwinding and curling up to watch TV were a very welcome thing!
Sunday, we had a late breakfast of french toast and ruby red grapefruit, then ran off to feed ducks, swans and gulls at one of the area lakes. We walked all the way around the lake, and even got up close to a duck's nest. I have pictures on my phone that I will get off it later.
Afterwards, we headed off to a mall and hit the bookstore. I was a good girl and only bought one book. Sadly, the Asian market (Pocky!!!) and the used book store were closed. We'll hit those another time. We had an early dinner at the Chinese buffet and went back home again to laze for the rest of the evening.
Sadly, Matt had to go to work this morning, and I had to drive back home. Bah!
In not so good news: I got home to find out that one of my kitties, Tiny, is in the kitty hospital. He was unable to pee yesterday evening and was lethargic and not very responsive. Mom and Dad took him to the emergency clinic where he had surgery to insert a catheter. He was having long runs of ventricular tachycardia and his potassium levels were out of this world high. Mom got up this morning and picked him up from the emergency clinic and took him straight to our own vet, where he will stay until at least 4 pm today. When he DOES come home, he'll be on antibiotics for at least 2 weeks. And will require a large amount of care.
I'm terrified. This is the second time he's had this problem. If he has one more, we may have to have him put to sleep. I've already had to make that decision once, with my dog. I'm NOT looking forward to going through that again. I feel sick and I just want to sit and cry.
