Some Things I Dislike As A Motorcyclist
1. Bicycles
I have nothing against bicyclists. In fact, I think bicyclists are great, and bicycling is really fun and refreshing. I do, however, find it annoying that bicyclists like to follow me REALLY CLOSELY. Or stop right next to me at STOP signs (THIS MAKES IT KIND OF ANNOYING AND PRECARIOUS WHEN MAKING TURNS). Or creep up to share the lane with me at a light. I look at them like O_o because, yeah, we both have two wheels, but I HAVE A 500cc ENGINE. The response I always get back, though, is a smile and a wave. Uh...
2. Speed Bumps
Specifically, speed bumps that IMMEDIATELY precede a STOP sign...which, first of all, seems redundant. More importantly, though, speed bumps work oppositely for motorcycles- for cars, they encourage drivers to slow down. Motorcycles, however, have to SPEED UP to get over them. So you can imagine how awkward it is to speed up and then IMMEDIATELY BRAKE to hit that STOP sign RIGHT after the bump (and, literally, I mean like 2 yards, max, of space).
