Wake up for work, head outside....to see my poor car has this really annoying yellow metal contraptions around its foot.
FUCK.
After calling out to work for the day (I work 40 mins away from the city) a call to the PPA (which stands for Philly Parking ASSHOLES) informs me I owe 443.00.
Double Fuck.
A walk down to the basement to check on my newly acquired free washing machine from Craigslist reveals a flooded basement.
Seriously? Who the FUCK did I piss off to deserve this day? This is all within 1 hour of waking up this morning.
SO
An eight block walk in 90 degree humid weather (which would suck even if I wasnt the size of a bloated whale), one subway ride and a surprisingly short wait at traffic court leads to them cutting my fine in half (215.00) and unbooting my car by the time I make the trek back home.
Rented a sump pump from home depot and fixed the washer (stupid hose clamp!)
So now everything is fixed, and yes it all could have been much worse (nothing was really damaged by the water) but I still like to say one big FUCK YOU to this day!
