The best goddamn 10 bucks spent evar! I finally bought a turntable...(Plus, I got a Partridge Family record for a buck!)
I have a small collection of vinyl (the ex got all the good stuff that I helped pay for..but thats beside the point...He deserved most of them I guess...except I totally shouldve gotten the Rocky Horror picture disk..he didnt even like RHPS!)

Anyway, Ive been meaning to purchase a turntable forever, and finally did today. Oh, how happy it has made me!! Hillary and I decided to have some fun, and played dueling records...I played a song from my collection, and before the song was up she would have to find one from her collection that connected in some way...not very hard,(though our respective record collections are pretty limited) but lots of fun. Made for quite an eclectic musical evening...Thunderstorms and lightning outside, and beer and old tunes in the basement...
Fuck yeah that wide.
Here's our setlist (wow, Im like a psudowannabe DJ!)

The Doors: Waiting for the Sun
The Beatles: Here Comes the Sun
The Carpenters: Rainy Days and Mondays
Rolling Stones: Ruby Tuesday
Blondie: Sunday Girl
The Cars: You Are the Girl
Frank Sinatra: The Most Beautiful Girl in the World
Janes Addiction: Classic Girl
The Cure: The Perfect Girl
The Who: Glow Girl
Fleetwood Mac: Gold Dust Woman (and if it had been MY turn I totally wouldve played The Silver Men by The Legendary Pink Dots next...but alas she went in a completely different direction...)
Sammy Kershaw: Chevy Van (the first line of the song is "I gave a girl a ride in my wagon.."..apparently Hillary just really wanted to hear this song...)
David Bowie: Always Crashing the Same Car
The Cars: Drive

And then we got tired of the game.
But good times nonetheless:)
