Tiny Introvert

"Can't we just start again as new friends, you know, who were old friends?"
"Yeah, like new friends who share a lot of old memories."

I feel this way with everyone back in my life again. It is so strange being back in America. It'll take a while to deal with this reverse culture-shock . My friend Jeff went to college with the girl on the right. :)

I've been reading a lot about introversion. And I'm sure I'm an extroverted introvert. Extroverts feed off of energy provided by other people. For introverts (and myself), it's exhausting to me sometimes. I tend to feel better when I watch a foreign film, hole myself up and write.

"Yes. People sometimes seem surprised when I say this, because I’m a pretty friendly person. This is one of the greatest misconceptions about introversion. We are not anti-social; we’re differently social. I can’t live without my family and close friends, but I also crave solitude. I feel incredibly lucky that my work as a writer affords me hours a day alone with my laptop. I also have a lot of other introvert characteristics, like thinking before I speak, disliking conflict, and concentrating easily."
