Imaginers couldn't even have thought of this...

As always...I went on another trip to Disneyland. I was supposed to go with Nick later on this month but his new job didn't allow us to do that. What better way to make it up by going on OPENING DAY of the 50th anniversary of the park?! Let me tell you that place was paaaaaaaaaccccccccccccccked. But it was well worth it. The line to get into the park was all the way to the entrance of California Adventure and was starting to wind its way in a HUGE circle. I wasn't having any of that...so I found some nice people and cut in line hahah. I would say that we were easily one of the first 100 let into the park. There were cameras everywhere and people screaming like idiots just to say they were the first in line. Happy to know that Julie Andrews and Michael Eisner were there to celebrate! Regis and Kelly also did a show there that aired this morning and also tomorrow. So watch...we may be on tv ;) If not its a really cool episode. So awesome! Well lets

Thought I was kidding about the lines??? There ya go, there is a small idea of what it was like that day. But once we were in, they all stopped us on main street and people were MEAN! it was crazy. good news though...we were the first people to get onto the new buzz lightyear ride. And! there was NO line for the Matterhorn. We kept missing the crowds, it was awesome. Then when we went onto the teacups, there was a news crew behind us and we were on the news!!! WE got in the golden teacup. There were some rides that changed some of there cars gold for the anniversary.

Lets see, they revamped a couple rides. Pirates of the Caribbean has a greater chance of getting wet now. When you see the ships bombing each other in the beginning, the splashes are BIG now and they come splashing down on you hahah. Then on Jungle Cruise, they put all new plants and they have a whole bunch of new animals. Then there is one part where you see bubbles coming to your boat and then these piranas jump out of the water and squirt water at you. That ride too has a sign at the front now saying...you may get wet! How exciting!!

Then on all the rides and throughout the park there are these 50's that they added. Some are hard to notice some are easy to spot. I took some pictures of the ones that I thought were interesting.

There were also these massive pictures of characters that they put together. They were made up of tiny pictures that people sent in from around the world to be added...it was awesome when you saw them up close.

There was also the parade that had huge floats. We waited forever to get a good spot to watch it..in the rain. It was well worth it though. The pictures are dark since we watched the parade at night but you get the picture :)

Then the best part of the whole trip...FIREWORKS!! I have seen fireworks, then I have seen this. honestly, it was breathtaking. Amazing. After we took pictures of the castle the had 5 crowns with jewels it was so pretty. For this and other reasons, is what made the trip <3

Nick has the rest of the pictures and part of the fireworks display on video on his site. Hope you all enjoyed the pictures. And I hope that everyone gets to see how awesome it really is there. I'm going again next month haha anyone in?
